Tech Crap

15 03 2008

Well, as my brother likes to say (and he is right), tech crap does not help someone get healthy. However, I just happen to love tech crap, so I bought the body bugg and I am anxiously awaiting its arrival. I am tracking it on UPS and it is apparently stalled in Dallas. Well, I personally think it should have made it to Nashville and my door today, but that is not to be.

In the meantime, another friend says I should take my nutrition to the web and write down my healthy meals to keep track of them. I sort of hate that idea, but it makes sense. I do not lie on my blog, so in effect that forces me to be truthful about my nutrition to the world. (I hate to say the word diet because Adam will yell and he is right. I am not on a diet; I am learning about nutrition and eating with a health focus.)

So, I will start on the online food journal tomorrow. I will include recipes for the really good things I find that are healthy. You guys can skip the rest. I don’t want to bore you to tears.

Tonight we went to Siam Cafe with friends and had a great meal. We split the appetizers, so I didn’t actually eat as much as this looks like–but it was still a lot.

  • Tiger Tears salad
  • Eggrolls
  • Massaman curry with chicken
  • Wonton Soup

Yum! Yum! I had to go for the non-spicy version, but one of our friends was sweating his basil squid.

“So, I will start on the online food journal….”

Most excellent, HH! And have you located that photo we were discussing?

What you did not mention in your post was that you only drank water and tea with your meal (rather than what we usually order at Thai restaurants), and that you declined dessert. All we had were the fortune cookies that accompanied the check.

And would you care to share with America what your fortune was?

Thai food sounds so yummy right about now. Greetings from the of rye bread, dairy, and beets. Not that I’m complaining, just crave a little more variety sometimes.

You are incredibly brave to start food journaling here!
